Using mobile devices for real-time control and monitoring of industrial processes

The goal of this project is to develop a system
for monitoring and regulating industrial
processes in real time utilising GSM wireless
communication technology so that all manual
tasks may be removed. Depending on the
state of other equipment, different pieces of
industrial machinery will need to be operated.
A worker should be hired to keep an eye on
the progress of the cargo for this reason. On
the other hand, it's possible that they'll
neglect to operate. Because of the enormous
currents and power consumption of these
devices, operating them manually is also not
a simple process. The greatest answer for
such scenarios is provided by this project,
which also totally eliminates the need for
human operation. A wireless notion will be
used in the development of this application.
Since it is both inexpensive and simple to set
up, the GSM communication system is one of
the wireless options we're considering here.
An interface for communication is provided
by a GSM modem. Through its serial
interface, it carries device protocols covertly
over the network. If your wireless network
supports the GSM standard, you may use a
GSM modem. Using a SIM card from any
GSM network provider, this GSM modem
may function similarly to a mobile phone,
complete with its own distinct dial tone. This
modem's RS232 connector allows you to
interact and build embedded programs,
which is a huge plus. It is easy to build
applications like logging, data transmission,
SMS control, and remote control. The
modem is compatible with any
microcontroller or PC serial port. We will
automate a business process by keeping tabs
on the water level and temperature in the
boiler as part of this project. A temperature
sensor, three water level sensors, and an 8-bit
microcontroller will all be connected in this
project. The controller will be connected to a
GSM modem using serial connection.
