LOAD SHARING TRANSFORMER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH GSM FAULT ALTERING

The project titled “Load Sharing Transformer Management System with GSM Fault Alerting” aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of power distribution systems by enabling intelligent load sharing between two transformers. The system utilizes an Arduino microcontroller to continuously monitor transformer conditions through sensors such as current transformers (CT) and fault detectors. When an overload or fault occurs in one transformer, the system automatically transfers the load to the standby transformer through a relay mechanism, ensuring uninterrupted power supply. Additionally, the GSM module sends real-time fault notifications to maintenance personnel, facilitating immediate response and minimizing downtime. This automated transformer management system significantly improves fault tolerance and operational safety in electrical substations and distribution networks. The integration of LCD and buzzer modules provides local monitoring and alerting capabilities, while GSM communication ensures remote supervision. By automating the load transfer process and fault reporting, the system reduces manual intervention and enhances the overall reliability of transformer operations. The proposed model is a cost-effective, scalable solution suitable for smart grid applications and rural power management.
