Abstract

Millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology is a key enabler for next-generation wireless networks due to its potential to support high data rates and massive connectivity. However, the practical deployment of mmWave massive MIMO systems in multi-cell, multi-user environments presents significant challenges, including severe path loss, inter-cell interference, and hardware constraints. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a multi-cell multi-user mmWave massive MIMO system and evaluate its performance under realistic network conditions. The proposed framework incorporates efficient beamforming and user association strategies to mitigate interference and enhance system capacity. Performance is analyzed through comprehensive simulations in terms of spectral efficiency, throughput, and outage probability. The results demonstrate that the proposed design significantly improves overall system performance compared to conventional approaches, highlighting its suitability for practical mmWave massive MIMO deployments in future 5G and beyond wireless networks.
