DISTANCE BETWEEN THE OBJECTS USING WEBCAM
Keywords:
contexts, including interior navigation, surveillance, and augmented realityAbstract
The goal of this project is to create a webcam-based system that can measure the
distance between objects. More and more people are curious in the potential uses of
webcams beyond video conferencing and entertainment, because to their ubiquitous
availability and integration into a broad range of gadgets. The suggested system
analyses the camera stream and estimates the distance between items in the picture
using image processing and computer vision methods. The system determines the
distance using geometric perspective and camera calibration principles after
identifying and following features or markers on the target objects. In a variety of
contexts, including interior navigation, surveillance, and augmented reality, the
project aims to provide an affordable and easily accessible method for measuring
distance. To prepare the system for possible deployment in real-world circumstances,
its accuracy and dependability will be verified via validation and experimentation.
