Abstract

This research presents the impacts of Industry 4.0 technologies and SAP S/4 HANA on pharmaceutical manufacturing in the context of digital transformation. Secondary qualitative and quantitative data are employed for the research. Case studies, industry reports, and scholarly articles are sources. Explanatory and secondary analyses are carried out to analyse how AI, IoT, and blockchain play their roles in raising operational efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The findings point to the transformative nature of digital technologies but also note the challenges associated with data integration and workforce readiness. The research concludes by offering recommendations to pharmaceutical companies on the adoption and optimisation of these technologies for sustainable growth and innovation.
