Abstract

Abstract Content-Based picture Retrieval is a method that searches massive picture collections for comparable images by analyzing their visual content. A picture's visual content is a representation of the image's low-level properties. Color, form, and texture are the main components of these. In order to classify and retrieve images with any degree of accuracy, picture feature extraction is essential. Classification and retrieval performance will improve with more distinguishable picture attributes. Consequently, the most crucial steps in the picture recovery procedure are features extraction and feature selection. The purpose of this study is to provide a discussion of feature selection and to provide an efficient approach for extracting features for use in picture retrieval.
