Abstract

Mobile cloud storage provides scalable and accessible data management but faces challenges related to privacy, storage efficiency, and flexible access control. This project proposes a Confidential Deduplication with Policy-Based Access Control framework for secure mobile cloud environments. The system performs client-side encryption and hash-based deduplication to reduce redundant storage without exposing sensitive data or duplication patterns. Ciphertext-Policy AttributeBased Encryption (CP-ABE) enables fine-grained access control based on user attributes such as role, department, and clearance level. Stub ReEncryption supports rapid policy updates and user revocation without re-encrypting entire files. The implemented framework integrates MMLE, SHA256, CP-ABE, Redis, PostgreSQL, and mobile technologies. Testing demonstrated effective storage optimization, reduced data transmission, low computational overhead, strong security, scalability, and suitability for resource-constrained mobile cloud environments. Keywords: Mobile Cloud Storage, Data Deduplication, Policy-Based Access Control, CPABE, Stub Re-Encryption, Data Security.
