Motor fitness is one of the most important components influencing athletic performance, particularly in sports such as cricket, where players require a combination of speed, agility, strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and explosive power. Cricket has evolved into a highly competitive sport that demands superior physical conditioning along with technical and tactical skills. Districtlevel players represent an important stage in the development pathway of athletes, where physical attributes significantly contribute to future performance potential. The present study aims to evaluate the motor fitness profile and performance - related physical attributes among district-level cricket players of West Bengal and Jharkhand. The study focuses on selected fitness components including speed, agility, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, explosive power, and coordination. A comparative analysis between players from the two states may provide valuable information regarding differences in physical charact eristics influenced by training methods, environmental conditions, playing exposure, and sports infrastructure. The findings of this study may assist coaches, physical education professionals, and sports scientists in designing scientific training programs and improving athlete development strategies.
