Abstract

The AI Powered Emergency Response Disaster Alert Management System is a Web-based application developed to predict flood risk an early stage using Machine Learning. Floods are one of the most common natural disasters that cause loss of human life, damage to property, and disruption of transportation and public services Existing flood monitoring methods mainly depend on manual observation and historical records, which often delay disaster response and reduce the effectiveness of preventive measures. To overcome this problem, the proposed system uses the Linear Regression machine learning algorithm to predict flood risk based on flood-related parameters entered by an authorized administrator. The application is developed using Python, Flask, HTML, CSS, Java Script, Pandas, Numpy and Scikit-learn. The system validates the input values before processing them through the trained machine learning model. Based on the prediction, it classifies the flood risk as Low, Medium, or High, display the flood risk percentage, and generates an emergency alert whenever a high flood risk is detected. The wed-based interface is simple, secure, and easy to use, allowing authorities to obtain prediction results quickly and accurately. The proposed system supports disaster management by helping government authorities and emergency response teams identify flood-prone situations at an early stage. It improves disaster preparedness, enables timely decision-making, and helps reduce the loss of life and property caused by floods.
