Abstract

Job satisfaction is a pivotal element in the contemporary corporate landscape, acting as a barometer for organizational health and employee retention. In the capital-intensive and precision-oriented engineering sector, the morale and commitment of the workforce directly correlate with operational efficiency and innovation. This project aims to analyze the various facets of job satisfaction at HBL Engineering Limited, specifically focusing on how organizational policies, work environment, and compensation structures influence employee psyche and performance. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the level of satisfaction among employees across different functional departments and to identify the key determinants that lead to workplace contentment or attrition. Utilizing a descriptive research design, data was collected from a representative sample of 100 employees through a structured questionnaire. The study employs both primary and secondary data sources, with the primary data being analyzed using statistical tools such as percentage analysis, weighted average methods, and Chi-square tests to determine the relationship between demographic variables and satisfaction levels. The research findings indicate that while the majority of employees at HBL Engineering Limited are satisfied with the job security and interpersonal relationships within the organization, there are significant gaps regarding career advancement opportunities and the work-life balance framework. The analysis suggests that the rapid technological shifts in the engineering industry (2023–2025) have increased the pressure on the technical workforce, necessitating more robust wellness programs and performance-linked incentives. Based on the empirical evidence, the study recommends a shift toward a more transparent performance appraisal system and the introduction of "Continuous Learning Modules" to keep pace with industry evolution. In conclusion, the project emphasizes that for HBL Engineering Limited to maintain its competitive edge, it must transcend traditional HR practices and adopt a more employee-centric approach that fosters both professional growth and personal well-being.
