Abstract

The rapid digitalization of the hospitality sector has increased the demand for intelligent restaurant management platforms that enhance customer experience while improving operational efficiency. Conventional restaurant systems often rely on manual reservation processes, paperbased menus, disconnected ordering workflows, and limited real-time coordination, resulting in service delays, order inconsistencies, and inefficient resource utilization. The proposed DineEase platform utilizes operational restaurant data collected through customer interactions, including user profiles, reservations, digital menu selections, pre-orders, table availability, order status, payment records, loyalty points, and QR-based check-in information generated during system usage. The collected data undergo validation, normalization, authentication, session management, and real-time synchronization to ensure consistency, security, and reliable transaction processing. The platform is implemented using the MERN stack comprising MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, integrated with Socket.IO for bidirectional communication, JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication for secure access, QR code generation for contactless check-in, and role-based dashboards for administrators, kitchen staff, and waiters. In addition to core restaurant operations, the system incorporates automated reservation scheduling, digital order management, secure online payment processing, real-time kitchen updates, customer feedback management, and loyalty reward mechanisms to provide a unified and user-centric dining experience. The responsive web interface enables customers to browse menus, reserve tables, place orders, monitor order progress, and access personalized account information through an intuitive interface, while restaurant personnel efficiently manage inventory, reservations, customer requests, and operational activities from centralized dashboards. The modular architecture ensures scalability, maintainability, and seamless integration of multiple functional components, enabling the platform to adapt to increasing customer demand and future technological enhancements. System performance is evaluated using response time, reservation success rate, order processing efficiency, synchronization latency, transaction accuracy, and user satisfaction metrics, demonstrating reliable real-time operation with high reservation accuracy, secure communication, low processing delays, and seamless workflow coordination. Experimental evaluation confirms that the proposed platform effectively minimizes manual intervention, improves transaction reliability, enhances customer engagement, optimizes resource allocation, and streamlines restaurant operations. The integrated architecture significantly improves service quality, operational transparency, customer satisfaction, and scalability while providing a robust foundation for future intelligent restaurant management solutions incorporating artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and personalized recommendation capabilities.
