Abstract

The increasing popularity of digital tourism and forest trekking activities has created a demand for secure and efficient management of trekking permits, ticket reservations, and operational records. Conventional ticket booking systems, which rely on manual processes or partially computerized methods, often experience issues such as delayed verification, inaccurate slot availability, data leakage, unauthorized modifications, lack of transparency, and overbooking. These limitations highlight the need for a modern system capable of providing secure, reliable, and real-time management of trekking operations. This project presents a secure webbased platform for forest trekking ticket booking and real-time validation. The system combines role-based user authentication, automatic slot availability verification, encrypted document storage, and controlled access to sensitive information within a single integrated solution. To ensure data security, the platform utilizes Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for protecting confidential information and RIPEMD-160 hashing for maintaining data integrity. Developed using the Flask framework with TinyDB as the backend database, the application enables secure user registration, route selection, online ticket booking, schedule management, encrypted file handling, and administrative monitoring through interactive dashboards. The platform performs real-time booking validation to prevent scheduling conflicts and overbooking while enforcing role-based access control to restrict unauthorized activities. Its modular architecture, lightweight database, and optimized request processing improve system performance by reducing response time and supporting multiple users efficiently. Overall, the proposed solution offers a scalable, transparent, and security-focused platform that enhances trekking management, strengthens data protection, and supports the advancement of smart tourism and digital forest governance.
