SMART TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLE CLEARANCE

The most serious issue in major cities is traffic. In order to give people a life free from traffic congestion, calm driving, and pollution, traffic regulation becomes more essential. The project aims to create a dynamic traffic light system based on density. Upon detecting the level of traffic at the intersection, the signal time adjusts automatically. An Infrared sensor is built into the traffic system. To determine the number of vehicles present in the traffic lane, the IR sensor's collected data is analyzed. A protocol is created for vehicle-to-Signal System communication utilizing bluetooth to alert vehicles in lane of the presence of the ambulance (or other emergency vehicles). The single-board microcontroller known as the Arduino controller is what tells the LED to light up. When the entire system is deployed on a road, it provides a way for emergency vehicles to easily clear traffic.
