Abstract

Performance appraisal is a systematic process of evaluating employee performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and aligning individual contributions with organizational goals. This study focuses on evaluating the performance appraisal system at Heritage Foods Limited, examining its effectiveness in assessing employee performance, enhancing productivity, and promoting professional growth. The research analyzes key aspects such as goal setting, performance measurement criteria, feedback mechanisms, and employee perceptions of fairness and transparency.
At Heritage Foods Limited, performance appraisals are designed to motivate employees, recognize achievements, and identify training and development needs. The study highlights the impact of appraisal outcomes on employee satisfaction, career advancement, and retention. It also examines the role of modern appraisal techniques, such as 360-degree feedback, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management by objectives (MBO), in providing a comprehensive evaluation of employee performance.
