Air pollution has become a serious environmental issue affecting human health and ecological balance. The Automated Air Quality Monitoring System using Raspberry Pi is designed to continuously monitor the concentration of harmful gases present in the atmosphere. The system employs MQ2, MQ7, and MQ135 gas sensors to detect pollutants such as carbon monoxide, smoke, LPG, ammonia, and other toxic gases. Raspberry Pi acts as the central controller that collects and processes sensor data in real time. The monitored values are displayed on an LCD screen for user awareness. When pollutant levels exceed predefined safety limits, a buzzer generates an alert to notify users of hazardous conditions. Additionally, a DC motor functions as an exhaust fan to improve ventilation and reduce pollution levels automatically. The system is costeffective, reliable, and suitable for homes, industries, laboratories, and public spaces.
