Abstract

The Voter Vault: Empowering Your Voice is a secure, transparent, and efficient online voting system designed to modernize the traditional election process. The project aims to eliminate critical issues such as vote tampering, duplicate voting, lack of transparency, and delayed vote counting by leveraging robust encryption and secure database management. The system provides a centralized yet highly secure and tamper-resistant platform where votes are safely recorded and stored. Each voter is authenticated using secure login credentials and unique voter identification. Once a vote is cast, it is encrypted and permanently stored in a secure database ledger, ensuring transparency, integrity, and accountability throughout the election lifecycle. The frontend of the application is developed using Next.js to provide an interactive, responsive, and user-friendly interface.The backend is implemented using Python and Flask for secure, high-performance server-side operations. SQLite 3 is utilized as the primary database system for securely storing user credentials, candidate information, and encrypted election data. The system also includes essential features such as voter registration, candidate management, realtime live vote counting, secure authentication, and instant election result generation. By utilizing modern web technologies and secure cryptographic practices, the project enhances trust in digital voting systems and provides a reliable, accessible solution for future electronic elections.
