The rapid growth in the number of users has increased challenges related to hardware reliability, data storage, and memory management, often resulting in data loss or system inefficiencies. To overcome these issues, cloud computing has become a widely adopted solution due to its ability to provide scalable, cost-effective, and high-performance services. However, as cloud technology continues to expand, it also becomes more vulnerable to various security threats and cyberattacks. Protecting cloud environments from malicious users is therefore a critical concern. One effective method to enhance security is the use of honeypots, which are designed to attract and divert attackers away from actual systems. This approach helps in monitoring malicious activities and reducing potential damage. Considering the legal and operational challenges of deploying honeypots directly on third-party cloud platforms, this study introduces a secure implementation within a cloud-based filesharing application. The proposed method focuses on detecting suspicious activities and improving system security by integrating honeypot techniques. Overall, this approach aims to strengthen cloud security while ensuring reliable and safe data handling.
