SMART CAMPUS EVENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The increasing numbers of academic and extracurricular activities in educational institutions has recently raised a demand for the automation and efficient event management system. Traditional process such as manual enrolment process, announcement via bulletin board, and unlinked communication channels leads to inefficiency, error prone and disorder. This paper provides a Smart Campus Event Management system designed using the microservice-based architecture providing scalability and efficiently handle event managements in campus. Spring Boot, RabbitMQ and MySQL technologies are combined to establish the system enabling the automate function of event creation, approval, enrolment, and notification with JWT based authentication for the system access and real time update capability via RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication, and analytics dashboards for tracking performance and participant. This experiment evaluation confirms that the suggested system is efficient and able to reduce manual works and able to increase user participation for events. This system is highly recommended for any educational institutions with modern and growing environment.
