Investigation of the structural and optical properties of g-C₃N₄ Microstructure and their photocatalytic performance for MB dye degradation

Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C₃N₄) was synthesized via a simple calcination method from thiourea precursors, and its structural, optical, and photocatalytic properties were investigated. FTIR spectroscopy indicated the presence of triazine rings and nitrogencontaining functional groups. T-GCN and Ultrasonication T-GCN exhibited superior photocatalytic activity, achieving 22.22% and 38.64% MB degradation, respectively. After ultrasonication, T-GCN showed improved light absorption and charge-carrier transport
