Agriculture plays a crucial role in shaping the socioeconomic framework of India, where nearly 58 percent of the population depends on it for livelihood. However, selecting suitable crops based on soil characteristics, seasonal conditions, and geographical factors remains a major challenge when relying on traditional and non-scientific methods. Farmers often make incorrect crop choices due to a lack of proper guidance, which can lead to financial losses, abandonment of farming activities, and migration to urban areas in search of alternative livelihoods. To address this issue, this research proposes a system that assists farmers in selecting the most appropriate crops by considering key parameters such as soil properties, sowing season, and geographic location. Furthermore, the concept of precision agriculture is being increasingly adopted in developing countries, enabling location-specific crop management through the use of modern agricultural technologies. This approach enhances productivity, optimizes resource utilization, and supports sustainable farming practices.
