This era saw major progress in mathematics (like the decimal system and concept of zero), astronomy (with figures like Aryabhata), and literature (with celebrated poets such as Kalidasa). It is also characterized by achievements in art, architecture, and the flourishing of Hindu philosophy and religion, laying a foundation for future Indian civilization.
