Abstract

This project presents a multifunctional nursing robot designed to assist in healthcare delivery by automating medicine and food dispensing while continuously monitoring patient health. The robot uses an ESP32 microcontroller as its core, along with two IR sensors for line-following navigation and an RFID system to identify and locate specific hospital wards. Upon scanning the RFID card of the target ward, the robot autonomously transports medicine or food along a predefined path. When it reaches the designated ward, it stops, and a buzzer alerts staff or patients of the delivery. In addition to delivery, the robot provides continuous patient monitoring. An integrated MAX30102 sensor measures the patient’s heart rate, and an ESP32 camera enables live video visualization for doctors and caregivers. This real-time monitoring system ensures both timely delivery and immediate health updates. By combining autonomous navigation, patient health monitoring, and alert mechanisms, this nursing robot aims to enhance hospital efficiency, reduce human workload, and improve patient care and safety.
