Abstract

—The aim of this paper is to introduce an electric vehicle wireless charging station and charging platform to transmit electrical power wirelessly through space and charge the battery of an electric vehicle. The system will work by using inductive coupling to transmit power from a transmitter to a resistive load or battery of an electric vehicle. Success in doing so would eliminate the use of cables in the charging process thus making it simpler and easier to charge the battery of an electric vehicle. It would also ensure the safety of the battery since it would eliminate the risk of a damaging the battery.
