The Indian mutual fund industry has emerged as a vital component of the capital market, offering diverse investment opportunities to individuals with varying risk preferences. Among the leading institutions, UTI Mutual Fund has played a pioneering role in mobilizing savings and channelizing them into productive investments. This study, titled “Investor’s Willingness to Take Risk in Mutual Fund Investments at UTI”, aims to analyze the risk appetite of investors, their preferences for different types of mutual fund schemes, and the factors influencing their decisionmaking process. The research highlights the relationship between investor demographics such as age, income, occupation, and investment objectives with their level of risk tolerance. It further investigates investor perceptions towards UTI’s mutual fund schemes in terms of safety, returns, liquidity, and transparency. By using both primary and secondary data, the study evaluates the extent to which investors are willing to take risks for higher returns as compared to choosing safer investment avenues. The findings are expected to provide insights into investor behavior, enabling UTI to design suitable financial products, strengthen investor confidence, and improve service delivery. Moreover, the study contributes to a broader understanding of the risk-return trade-off in mutual fund investments, which is critical for the growth and sustainability of the industry
