Abstract

Numerous studies are being conducted daily to discover new ways and strategies in the current world. Improvements in structural design are now a perfect part of life. Any structural designer's primary goal is to make the construction both safe and economical. Buildings are typically designed and built in a very basic manner, but experts are now concentrating on irregular structural elements to create complex structures that are both safe and cost-effective. Since it provides a hazy picture of column failure, numerous scholars have been studying loating column analysis with seismic and wind forces as well. Because steel framed structures have so many advantages over RCC structures, they have become a significant component of infrastructure. Therefore, an examination of these buildings under wind and seismic pressures will be crucial to the development of infrastructure design. Thus, the impact of mass irregularity and the floating column on steel-framed structures has been reviewed in this study.
In the present study seismic analysis and design of multi story steel building with floating was carried out by using ETABS 2018. The results like story drift, Shear force, Bending moment, Building torsion are studied for G+25 story floating column building and detailing is done in CSI detailing software.
