This paper explores the implementation of various types of approximate full adders in Ripple Carry Adders (RCA) 4-bit configurations. These approximate adders are integrated at different bit positions within the RCA and evaluated based on multiple performance parameters. Approximate circuits are designed to simplify hardware complexity and enhance computational efficiency. In applications such as multimedia processing, where minor inaccuracies are acceptable, exact results are not always necessary, making approximate adders a viable alternative. This study compares different approximate full adders (AA0 to AA6) in terms of error percentage and overall performance, providing insights into their effectiveness in practical applications.
